COVID-19 refuge in Jouy-en-Josas: the opposition (UAPJ) challenges the City Council

The monitoring committee initiated by the Un Avenir Pour Jouy (A Future For Jouy) group is asking the City Council for more transparency.

Well-founded questions that justify clear and precise answers.

Without willing to interfere into the management of the COVID-19 accommodation center, it is entirely legitimate to question its mode of operation. This center is on the Jouy-en-Josas territory, and our duty is to make sure that what is done does not harm the population. Covid19 is not a trivial phenomenon, and the concerns of Jovacians are understandable. We are all concerned.

Most of the volunteers come from Jouy-en-Josas, and once again, our duty is to protect them. It is our responsibility.

A real monitoring committee should be represented by all its actors: Red Cross, Police, Head of the Prefecture, Referral doctor, the current Deputy-Mayors and members of the opposition. This is easy since it can be done by videoconference as I suggested earlier.

Indeed, we have a duty to inform the population, and we agree that a joint communication be drawn up, approved and co-signed by all the actors, in sincerity and transparency.
